Mood boards are the perfect tool for gathering creative inspiration, color palettes, aligning aesthetic and determining the overall tone of your brand! And it also allows us to stay visually focused as we move throughout the design phase of your project.
FOUNDATION OF YOUR BUSINESS
Once you contact Brand Candi, we will ask you to fill out our Client QA so that we can understand your overall tone and vision.
My favorite tool for clients to find inspiration is Pinterest! If you have a Pinterest account, please follow Brand Candi. If you do not have a Pinterest account, feel free to sign up! It is free and so much fun! If you are not interested in using Pinterest for part of your design plan, no worries! We will simply use your questionnaire answers as inspiration.
Next, we will create a project board just for you where will "pin" together to this board! If you wish for your board to be "secret", until your big reveal, please let us know.
We suggest that clients pin any images that represent your personal + business style, including: website or blog designs, logos or branding, colors/color palettes, textures, patterns, interior design and lifestyle images. (Please note: These images are for inspiration ONLY. Make sure your images reflect your style, tone of voice. Most importantly make sure to appeal to your target audience and the emotion you want to evoke. If you select an image, make sure you answer why you selected that image.
DESIGN PROCESS
Once you have pinned all of your images and inspiration, we will begin to study your pins. There should be a pattern of colors, images, textures, and texts that correlate with each other. Next, we will decide on the top 7 images to use in your final mood board and place these in our template using Photoshop. Once we have the final seven images arranged to flow and offer a consistent layout, we will pull colors using the color selection tool and create a color palette. This will complete the mood board design process. And now it is time to begin designing your logo and complete your brand. TIP: Use your mood board for all future designs. Whenever you need to order or design marketing collateral, pull up your mood board and make sure that everything you are designing is inline with your board. |
